General Intern (FALL 2011) – Trenton Steel (Trenton,NJ)

Interns will be responsible for assisting the front office in day-to-day operations. Internships with Trenton Steel will provide qualified interns with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of a professional indoor football team’s front office.

Interns may be occasionally asked to work nights and weekends. Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft Office and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customer service calls
• Assist with grassroots marketing and promotional events
• Management of promotional and guest appearance requests
• Assist front office staff with projects and assignments
• Perform all other duties as asked


THIS INTERNSHIP IS UNPAID, BUT COLLEGE CREDIT IS AVAILABLE.

INTERN OFFICE HOURS ARE FROM 10AM TO 5PM.

FALL INTERNSHIPS RUN FROM SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER.

Sales & Marketing: Ticket Sales

Ticket Sales Executive – Trenton Steel (Trenton, NJ)

Job Description: The Trenton Steel of the Southern Indoor Football league seeks passionate, energetic, motivated and teachable individuals to market and sell season, partial, group ticket plans to corporations and groups through outbound phone sales activities and meeting appointments.

 

Job Responsibilities:
• Represent the club in a positive and professional manner
• Sell season, partial, group to Steel games through a full menu sales program
• Complete a minimum 40-50 outbound calls daily to targeted corporate lists
• Manage all personal accounts to provide the highest level of customer service
• Actively pursue and maintain relationships within the various cultural communities within the Trenton area
• Update applicable records in ticket database
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales quotas
• Assist with game day responsibilities of sales department
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Previous sales experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial leadership tendencies
• Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
• Base salary plus commission
